Volunteer
St. Anne School depends on volunteers to help support the educational program in a number of ways. If you would like to volunteer at St. Anne School or would like more information, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator.
Lunch/Recess Volunteers: Parents are needed to supervise students during their lunch period. Time would be 11:00 am to 1:15 pm. The Community Center serves as our cafeteria. A teacher is present during each lunch period. Assignments for inside or outside will be done according to need.
Market Day: Once a month, volunteers are needed to help unload the truck, separate orders, and help customers. Hours are 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on the first Wednesday of the month.
Classroom Parent Coordinator: To help teachers with classroom activities such as parties, field trips, projects, etc. Teacher will select helper.
Communication Envelope Volunteers: To stuff communication envelopes as part of a team. Usually Thursday mornings.
Book Fair Volunteer: Volunteers are needed to assist with book selection and sales. One book fair takes place in the fall, and the second one takes place during Catholic Schools Week. Volunteers are needed after the Sunday Masses, as well as throughout Catholic Schools Week.
CYO Cultural Activities: The CYO-sponsored cultural activities include: a Spelling Bee for grades 6 through 8, an Academic Bowl for grade 8, and a One-Act Play for grades 5 through 8. More information on dates, etc. will be available in the school office.
Library Aides: Help the Librarian with shelving books, helping students locate books and help with checking books in and out. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and/or Fridays.
Nurse Volunteer: RNs, LPNs, retirees, and those who are trained or willing to be trained in CPR and first aid are needed to staff the nurse's office. The nurse's office relies heavily on volunteers to provide coverage since our school nurse is available only 1 day/week. All hours of the day are needed, especially during the lunch periods between 11:00 to 1:15. A calendar will be placed in the nurse's office. Please consider stopping by to check for any time period that might fit your schedule. This is an important service that nurse volunteers can provide to our school.
Art Volunteers: One or two volunteers may be needed to work with our art teacher. Materials may need to be gathered for some projects. A few parents may also be needed to provide classroom assistance, most likely in the primary grades. Volunteers will be contacted as needed.
Technology Lab Monitor: Volunteers are needed to provide help to students throughout the day.
Classroom Monitors: Occasionally, volunteers are needed to supervise classes for short periods of time when a teacher may need to attend a meeting during school hours.
Baking: Bakers are needed throughout the year for receptions. luncheons, student events, and the parish fundraiser.
School Aide: Assist with various activities such as monitor make-up tests, in-school suspension, general classroom needs. A background in education is needed.
Reception/Luncheon Volunteer: Volunteers are called upon throughout the year to provide paper goods, beverage, fruit trays, and assorted salads for various luncheons and receptions. Volunteers are also needed to provide their time to staff these events.
Uniform Bank: Organize our used uniform room on an as needed basis.
School Newspaper: Help monitor and advise the student staff.
Retreat Team: Help coordinate classroom retreats when the teacher is attending a Diocesan Retreat.
